There have been four International Karate and Kobudo competitions sponsored by Okinawa Prefecture held so far. This tournament will be held for the first time after Okinawa Prefecture has established its own framework to promote Okinawan Karate, including the establishment of the “Okinawa Karate Kaikan” and “Karate Promotion Division”. We will developmentally hold it as “the 1st competition” based on our experiences and achievements, considering continuous holding of such competitions.
