Regarding the Creation of the Tournament Report and the Tournament DVD

2019/03/06

The tournament secretariat compiled the preparation progress of this tournament, report of each event, competition record, etc., and created the tournament report and tournament DVD to utilize them for the future promotion of Okinawa karate.
We will not distribute these reports and DVD, so please see the files below.

To All the Press : Important Notice

  1. If you wish to interview/video shoot the Tournament, please submit the “Registration Form” to the press registration desk at the venue(s) on the day you wish to do so. Only the press whom the Executive Committee of the Tournament has approved are permitted to interview and/or video shooting.

  2. Please register on the day of Interviewing/video shooting during the Tournament. Please make sure to register first at each venue on a daily basis.
  3. Please wear your company’s armband at the venue.
    * We will rent a Media Pass if you don’t have one. All the crew members who enter the venue must wear the armband or rent a Media Pass.
  4. When video shooting the competition and seminars, please keep a enough distance from the competitors, coaches, and instructors so that you will not disturb them.
    The use of flash at the competitors and performers is prohibited.
  5. Video shooting the competitions and seminars for long hours and instructors’ teaching methods for the purpose of publicizing them is prohibited.
  6. The images and videos are not allowed to use for other purposes.
    * Interviewing and video shooting for the commercial use purposes such as selling images and videos are prohibited.
  7. When interviewing and video shooting, please follow the instructions of the Executive Committees. If you ignore or disobey, the Executive Committee may refuse your interviewing and video shooting.
  8. If you broadcast and/or post the content of interviews and/or the videos, please send the data to the Executive Committee.

As to Parking Space and Shuttle Bus Service During the 1st Okinawa Karate International Tournament

Parking Space

The parking space at Okinawa Karate Kaikan on August 1 will be used by the staff and people concerned to the Tournament only.

We appreciate for your cooperation if you would use the public transportation during the Tournament due to the limited parking space at Okinawa Karate Kaikan and Prefecutural Hall of Martial Hall (Budokan).

If you need come by car, please park the car at the temporary parking space, Naha Military Port, during the Tournament.

Open hours of the temporary parking space (Naha Military Port).

  • Wednesday, August 1 : 8:00 ~ 21:30
  • Thursday, August 2 ~ Monday August 6 : 8:00 ~ 20:00
  • Tuesday, August 7 : 8:00 ~ 18:30

Any car parked after the above open hours will be towed away. Please be advised that we will ask you to pay the towing charge of JPY 100,000.

 

Shuttle Bus Service

  • There will be a free shuttle bus connecting the temporary parking space (Naha Military Port), Budokan, and Okinawa Karate Kaikan.
  • The shuttle bus will run every 15 – 20 minutes in the route of, the temporary parking space (Naha Military Port) > Budokan > Okinawa Karate Kaikan > Budokan > the temporary parking space (Naha Military Port).
  • The shuttle bus service is available during the hours below.
    Wednesday, August 1 : 8:10 ~ 21:30 (Service interval: every 15 minutes)
    Thursday, August 2 ~ Monday, August 6 : 8:10 ~ 20:00 (Service interval: every 15 minutes)
    Tuesday, August 7: 8:10 ~ 18:30 (Service internal: every 20 minutes)

*Please be advised that the service interval will be longer than above after 18:00.
*The last bus service of each day is shown as below.

  • Wednesday, August 1 : Departs Prefectural Budokan at 21:10
  • Thursday, August 2 ~ Monday, 6 : Departs Karate Kaikan at 19:30, Departs Prefectural Budokan19:40

Coaches Meeting and ID Issue

• Date and Time: 18:00 ~ 19:00 on Wednesday, August 1

• Precautions;

  • Please make sure to attend the meeting since it contains the important information both for participants and coaches.
  • Please pick up your ID card at the registration desk of the coaches meeting.
  • Only the participants, coaches, and people concerned and related to the event, are allowed to enter the competition area. Please wear your ID card inside of the area.
  • If you are unable to attend the meeting on August 1 for unavoidable circumstances, please register at the registration desk of the following venue on or after August 2; Open hours is 11:00 – 18:00 on August 2 & 3, 9:00 – 10:00 on August 4.

Important Notice

Competitions

  • Details of match time of each event, the implementation method of preliminary rounds (e.g. preliminary groups, performance order, the conditions to advance to the main Tournament), and the implementation method of the main Tournament (e.g. tournament table) will be determined by the Executive Committee, and these information, along with the participants’ name list(s), will be posted on the homepage of the Tournament.
  • A participant of Kobudo must have his/her weapon inspected at a given time on the day of the Tournament.
  • For each match, the participants must write a Kata name they will perform on “Declaration Form” on the reverse side of the ID card, and submit it to a score-keeper at each court 10 minutes before a match starts.
  • Concerning the official uniforms and Kata selection, please confirm them in “Competition Rules and Regulations” and “Judge and Referee Regulations” on the Tournament homepage. Anybody who violates the regulations may be treated as disqualified.
  • Please bring your ID card and register first at the registration desk at the venue on the day of your match.
  • Anyone who forgets his/her bib number and the ID card on the day of match will be treated as “conceding/abandoning” the Tournament. Additionally, neither the bib number nor the ID card will be reissued for any reasons.

Others

  • There is no exclusive parking space for coaches and participants at the venues. Please use public transportation.
  • If you need to come by car, please park the car at Naha Military Port which is open as a temporary parking space. Please use a free shuttle bus service from the port to each venue.
  • Please secure your valuables and luggage, and pick up after yourself to keep the venues clean during the Tournament.

Exchange Meeting (Farewell Party)

• Time and Date: 18:30-20:30 on Tuesday, August 7 (Door opens at 18:00)
• Place: Kariyushi Urban Resort Naha; “Nirai Kanai” room on the 6th floor
• Precautions

  • There will be a free shuttle bus service from Budokan to the hotel.
  • Please be informed that there will be no shuttle bus service from the hotel after the party.
  • Please bring your ID card to attend the party.

Seminar Registration

• Date and Time:

– Cellular Park inside Onoyama Park (Next to Prefectural Budokan)

Precautions:

  • For seminar registration, a “Confirmation sheet” and an “ID with a photo” are two required items. Since the confirmation sheet can be printed out from the registration site, please check it beforehand.
  • Each seminar participant must register to receive an ID card.
  • Registration by the group representative and/or a proxy is accepted. In this case, the group representative/proxy must bring all the required documents, which are aforementioned two items, of the participant(s) he/she is registering for.
  • Only the seminar participants and people concerned and related to the event are allowed to enter the seminar area. Please wear your ID card inside of the area.
  • If you are unable to register by August 5 for unavoidable circumstances, please register on the day of your seminar, either August 6 or 7, at the registration desk of each seminar venue.

Important Notice

  • Please wear Karate-gi to attend the seminar.
  • Please bring your weapon(s) for Kobudo seminar(s) you are attending. The Executive Committee will prepare weapons, however, the number of available weapons is limited. Therefore, there may not be enough weapons for all the seminar participants. For your information, there are weapons for sale at the seminar venue.
  • There is no exclusive parking space for the seminar participants at the venues. Please use public transportation.

  • Please gather at the Cellular Park at Onoyama Park (next to Budokan) by 12:00pm, which is 30 minutes before the ceremony starts.
  • Please line up and march into the venue based on the guidance and instructions of the staff.
  • Please secure your valuables by yourself.
  • Please finish your lunch before the gathering time. Having lunch inside of Cellular Park is prohibited.
