We will hold the 1st Okinawa Karate International Tournament , aiming to create a place where Okinawa Karate enthusiasts gather in Okinawa and deepen exchanges, to properly inherit and develop the skills and spirituality of Okinawa Karate which was systematized by our ancestors and handed down until today, and to further promote the development of Okinawa Traditional Karate and Kobudo for the future.

 

1 Name of Tournament

 

The 1st Okinawa Karate International Tournament .

 

2 Basic Policy

 

⑴ Centering on the 1st Okinawa Karate International Tournament Executive Committee, every school and group of Okinawan Traditional Karate and Kobudo shall cooperatively hold the tournament under their responsibility, in collaboration with related institutions and organizations.
⑵ The tournament shall take advantage of the characteristics of systematized Okinawan Traditional Karate and Kobudo in Okinawa prefecture.
⑶ Various activities shall be implemented to establish areas for communicating with domestic and international Karate enthusiasts as well as to spread, preserve, and develop Okinawan Traditional Karate and Kobudo.
⑷ The tournament shall contribute to international exchange and tourism promotion of Okinawa Prefecture by introducing the participants to the traditional culture, rich nature and other attractions of Okinawa Prefecture.
⑸ The tournament shall be able to contribute to develop internationally competent human resources.

8 Promotional Structure

 

For the preparation and implementation of the activities, Okinawa Prefecture, Okinawa Dento Karatedo Shinkokai, prefectural economic organizations, media, and other related institutions and organizations shall organize the 1st Okinawa Karate International Tournament Executive Committee to promote the tournament.
