Tournament purpose
Boys and girls who are practicing karate from all over the world will gather in "Okinawa, the birthplace of karate" for the 1st Okinawa Karate World Junior Tournament, a tournament held with the aims of furthering the preservation, succession, and development of traditional Okinawa karate and kobudo. Beyond Okinawa karate techniques, these young athletes will learn about the spirituality of Okinawa karate that respects politeness and consideration to one's opponent, as well as coming into contact with different cultures through international competition and collaboration.
