Ｑ．Do you accept applications for the tournament by phone?

Ａ．We're sorry, but we don't accept the regestration by phone calls. We accept applications via the entry page (tournament website) and e-mail, or mail from Japan.

 

Ｑ．I don't know how to apply by age.

Ａ．Age *Ages besed as of April 1, 2022。

b. Boys and Girls Ⅱ: 8 - 9 years old
c. Boys and Girls Ⅲ: 10 - 11 years old

【The 2nd Okinawa Karate World Tournament】
a. Juniors: 15 – 17 years old
b. Adults I: 18 – 39 years old
c. Adults II: 40 – 59 years old
d. Seniors: Over 60 years old

 

Ｑ．Who can participate in the tournament?

Ａ．Anyone who is 6 years old or older and is learning Okinawa traditional karate and who can perform the Kata acknowledged by the Executive Committee can apply for participation.

 

Ｑ．Who can attend the seminar?

Ａ．Karate enthusiasts from all over the world can apply for participation regardless of ryuha/kaiha, sex, and age.

 

Ｑ.If it is the Kata introduced in the Kata movie, can I perform it regardless of age?

Ａ．The Kata Movie are posted for reference. The Kata can be performed depends by the age of the participants. Please check the competition rules in advance.

 

Ｑ．Please tell me the tournament participation fee and payment method.

Ａ．The tournament participation fee is 3,000 yen. When you apply from the Registration entry form in English, we accept credit cards only.

 

Ｑ．Please send me the Invitation Letter required to apply for a Visa

Ｑ．What are the immigration restrictions in Japan and when will they be lifted?

Ｑ．I don't know the size of belt, can I leave it blank?【The 1st Okinawa Karate World Junior Tournament】

Ａ．All participants of The 1st Okinawa Karate World Junior Tournament should wear the tournament original unified belt. Therefore, we will distribute to you all. No additional payment is required. Please be sure to input the size of your belt when applying.

 

Ｑ．Can I apply for participation in the tournament on the day of the Registration of Competitors?

Ａ．Please be sure to apply in advance for the tournament and seminars. The Registration of Competitor day is the day when those who have completed the application by the application deadline will receive their ID card(to enter the venue) ,Number cloth and others.

 

Ｑ．Please tell me the ID required for Registration of Competitors.

Ａ．Please present your driver's license, health insurance card, passport, Residence card or etc..Overseas participants are required to present passports. (a copy is acceptable)

 

Ｑ．About regestration of competitors, do I have to register by myself? Can someone else register on my behalf?

Ａ．The Registration of Competitor is also possible by a substitute. Please do not forget all the following documents even if the substitute will be coming to the registration of competitor.

③ID of the competitor （copy is acceptable.）
Items marked with ※ are documents that will be mailed to the application representative from us after the application deadline for the tournament. Basically, you will need to bring the original and exchange it, but depending on the situation, we will accept even if you bring a copy. （We will send by e-mail to the application representative from overseas.）

 

Ｑ．I can't attend the coach meeting. Is it okay if someone else can attend on my behalf or not go to the coach meeting?

Ａ．The coach meeting can also be attended by a substitute. In addition, we will distribute document about the Coach behavior in advance, so if you don't have any questions regarding being coach, there is no problem even if you do not participate in the coach meeting.

 

Ｑ．I sent an email to the Okinawa Karate World Tournament 2022 Management Support Team, but I haven't received a reply after more than a week.

Ａ． If you could not received an email from us within one week, it may be sent to junk/spam mail folder automatically. Please check your junk/spam mail folder or trash box. Ｑ．Are there any accommodations assigned?

Ａ．There is no accommodation assignment. Please make your own reservations through travel websites or other means according to your preferences.

 

Ｑ．Will the World Tournament in August be held as scheduled?

Ａ．At this moment, the tournaments will be held as scheduled. If there are any changes to the tournament due to the future situation, we will inform you on our website.
