Application Details
(1) Eligibility Requirements
- Applicants must be 15 years of age or older as of April 1, 2026.
- Applicants must belong to a karate dojo or organization with roots in Okinawa. (Information such as the name of the organization/dojo, head instructor, and style is required.)
(2) Participation Fee
- Free of charge
Composition, Content, Remarks
Part 1
Demonstration of Okinawa Karate (Traditional Okinawa Karate and Kobudo)
Demonstrations of kata and other performances will showcase the characteristics of each traditional style and school of Okinawa karate and kobudo that have been cultivated and passed down in Okinawa.
Both individual and group participation are allowed. (Performers will be selected based on the selection criteria.)
*Special note: Priority will be given to participants holding dan ranks or equivalent.
Part 2
Demonstration of Karate and Kobudo Spread Worldwide
Demonstrations of kata and other performances will be conducted by karate and kobudo practitioners representing countries and regions around the world where Okinawa karate has spread.
Both individual and group participation are allowed. (Performers will be selected based on the selection criteria.)
*Special note: Priority will be given to group participation. For individual participants, adjustments such as forming groups may be made.

Notification of Results

Application Procedures for Participation in this System
The application procedure is roughly as follows (1) to (3).

(1) Registration of personal information of the representative of the applicant and competitors.
* Information such as the name of the organization or dojo, head instructor, style, and rank is required.
(2) Registration of application information.
* Applicants may select up to three preferred demonstration categories from first to third choice.
(3) Confirm the application information (from “My Page”) and complete payment procedures.
