Demonstration
A: Participants must be at least 15 years old as of April 1, 2026.
A: Yes. As long as the karate dojo has roots in Okinawa, applications are accepted even if it is not affiliated with an Okinawan karate organization.
However, applicants must provide information such as the organization name, dojo head (instructor), and karate style at the time of application.
A: Each performance has a limit on the number of participants.
The exact number will be decided by the Demonstration Committee after the application deadline.
As a general guideline:
・A total of approximately 40–50 participants per kata
・Depending on movement and space requirements, the total number may be around 30 participants
・If multiple schools or dojos apply for the same performance, participants may be selected from each schools, dojos, etc. to avoid imbalance
A: Each person may enter up to a maximum of three performances.
Please complete the required information on the application form and submit it.
Due to participant limits and selection for each performance, it is not guaranteed that all applied performances can be performed.
A: Participation is not guaranteed even after submitting an application.
After the deadline, selections will be made by the relevant committee, taking into account participant limits, fairness, and compatibility with the event theme.
The results will be notified later by the secretariat. Please note that not all applicants will be able to participate. (Related Q&A: No. 3)
A: For the second part of the Demonstration, you must specify your desired kata at the time of application.
Based on the submitted information, selections will be made by the Demonstration Committee.

Tournament
A: The Tournament targets boys and girls aged 6 to 14 as of April 1, 2026 (Reiwa 8).

A: There is no unified size chart prepared for the Tournament belts, but the following sizes are available.
Belt sizes range from 190 cm to 290 cm, increasing in 10 cm increments.
